If we are installing a timber floor, whether it be a solid timber or an engineered timber over a concrete floor, we prepare your concrete slab with a light grind to allow the sealant to stick. After that we apply the seal directly to the concrete slab, to eliminate any moisture seeping through the concrete slab that could affect the timber.
The next step is to install plywood over the sealed concrete to allow the installation of the solid timber to be fixed to the plywood.
We can also install an engineered floor direct to the concrete slab—after the slab has been sealed first—or it can be installed over any hard floor surface, including plywood, particleboard flooring and even over batons or joist.
Pre-finished and also raw widths from 127mm wide available.
